Luno partners with global digital payments platform Checkout.com to give customers instant-buy access to crypto assets
- Luno Australia customers can now use cards as a third payment option in addition to Bank Transfer and PayID to purchase crypto
- com, with their deep expertise in the crypto industry, will expand Luno’s reach, enabling Australian users to purchase crypto via Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay in real time
- Through this partnership, Luno will offer one of the lowest flat processing fees on the market at a rate of 1.5%, in addition to the existing brokerage fee
From today, Luno customers in Australia will be able to instantly purchase crypto assets through their credit or debit cards as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay without depositing funds, providing an alternative to the current Bank Transfer and Instant Deposit using PayID payment offerings.
Customers can expect the broadest range of payment options against any other platform on the market. With the addition of Checkout.com on Luno, users will be able to pay using their cards and are subject to a 1.5% card processing fee, one of the cheapest on the market – a 2% brokerage fee will still apply on all transactions.
In line with Luno’s security levels across the platform, card transactions require 3D Secure authentication via one-time payment (OTP), ensuring that users can make purchases on the app with peace of mind.
