Ledger launches Ledger Wallet 4.0 – Uncompromising security meets effortless trading
Ledger, the global leader in digital asset security for individuals and institutions, announced the launch of Ledger Wallet 4.0, a comprehensive upgrade to the all-in-one crypto app, enabling effortless trading and backed by uncompromising security. Significant upgrades to the Ledger Wallet experience will begin rolling out to a small number of users today, with more upgrades coming in April 2026.
Unveiled at Ledger Op3n in October 2025, Ledger Wallet is your secure, all-in-one crypto app providing access to cross-chain trading and portfolio management. Crucially, Ledger Wallet provides true, secure ownership and control over your assets.
Unlike today’s fintechs and neobanks, where users hand over control of their assets for convenience, you decide how to buy, sell, swap, earn rewards, and spend your digital value. As long as you have your Ledger signer and 24 words, you will never be locked out of your assets. You have the ultimate choice, with the broadest range of third party providers in the wallet space competing to give you the best quote, with transparent fees, rather than being at the mercy of one centralized entity.

Starting today, users will begin to see an overhauled navigation experience. It’s faster, smoother, and a joy to use, while placing the most important information you need front and centre. A new navigation bar makes doing what you want in Ledger Wallet quicker, with easy access to the most important trading functions.
The redesigned home page keeps the essential information you need, while keeping you updated on the market. Market insights available in-app ensure you’re up to date while you trade, highlighting trending tokens and assets, and the Fear & Greed index, provided by CoinMarketCap, will show the current state of sentiment around the market. These actionable insights will allow users to trade more confidently.
For the first time ever, new users can download and start their Ledger Wallet journey before they get their Ledger signer. While private key generation and interaction with services still requires a Ledger signer, new users can learn to navigate round Ledger Wallet, explore the features available, and access education so they’re ready to go as soon as their Ledger signer arrives.
The Earn section of Ledger Wallet has been completely overhauled. Now it will show users exactly what assets in their portfolio they can earn rewards on, including the maximum potential rewards available to earn on the assets they already own, as well as other assets with opportunities to earn high yield rewards, helping them make informed decisions about how to grow their portfolio. For those already earning rewards within Ledger Wallet, the new UI will provide more historical and current performance information so they can see exactly what they have earned and what assets yielded the most rewards, and includes the ability to directly and conveniently manage positions from within the Earn section.
Further new features in Ledger Wallet 4.0 include:

- More clarity on when your balance has updated/is updating
- Even more providers to be added on a rolling basis, offering more choice to users
- Full fee transparency when swapping
- Real-time push notifications across all stages of a transaction, providing greater confidence when transacting on-chain
- Continuous bug fixes and performance improvements
