AUDC goes live on Arc on Day One, expanding institutional stablecoin access
AUDC, the issuer of the AUDD Australian dollar stablecoin, is expanding institutional access to stablecoins for global transactions in Australian dollars by joining Arc, bringing Australian-dollar payment and settlement infrastructure to an ecosystem designed for global financial markets, real-time money movement and agentic economic activity.
Arc is an open, EVM-compatible Layer-1 platform developed by Circle that brings together USDC, local fiat stablecoins, tokenised assets and on-chain applications in a connected ecosystem, with markets spanning payments, on-chain FX, trading, lending, borrowing and tokenised assets.
For AUDC, this announcement extends its focus on stablecoin payments, on-chain FX and tokenised financial markets, creating new opportunities for AUDD to participate in institutional settlement flows and connect Australian-dollar liquidity with global on-chain markets.
Chief Executive Officer of AUDC, Effie Dimitropoulos, said the expansion was focused on connecting the Australian dollar with global financial infrastructure and practical institutional use cases.
“The next phase of stablecoin adoption isn’t simply about putting more currencies on-chain. It’s about connecting those currencies to the markets, liquidity and infrastructure where they can be used,” Ms Dimitropoulos said.
Joining Arc from day one gives the Australian dollar a place in an ecosystem being built for global payments, on-chain FX and tokenised financial markets.
“Our ambition is simple: when global on-chain markets need an Australian-dollar settlement asset, AUDD should be there.”
Building on Arc supports AUDC’s blockchain-agnostic strategy of making AUDD available on infrastructure that can increase its utility, connectivity, distribution and transaction activity.
